This post is part of the πŸ“– Building A Storybrand series.

Today I am reading a new section from the first chapter of the book Building a StoryBrand written by Author, Donald Miller.

Info! πŸ’¬
By reading this book Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller, you will learn the seven universal story points all humans respond to. The real reason customers make purchases. How to simplify a brand message so people understand and act on it. How to create the most effective messaging for websites, brochures, and social media

Yesterday I read a section Mistake Number Two that every business do in their communication. Today we will start with BUSINESS HAS AN ENEMY.

BUSINESS HAS AN ENEMY

Business has a fierce, insidious enemy that, if not identified and combated, will contort our company into an unrecognizable mess. The enemy I’m talking about is noise.

“Noise has killed more ideas, products, and services than taxes, recessions, lawsuits, climbing interest rates, and even inferior product design.” β€” Donald Miller, Building a StoryBrand

STOP SAYING THAT

All experienced writers know the key to great writing isn’t in what they say; it’s in what they don’t say. The more we cut out, the better the screenplay or book.

CLARIFY YOUR MESSAGE

Whether we run a small company or a multibillion-dollar brand, confusing our customers is costing us money.

To clarify our message we’re going to need a formula. A serious formula. This formula needs to organize our thinking, reduce our marketing effort, obliterate confusion, terrify the competition, and finally get our businesses growing again.

Let’s learn about that formula now.

That’s it for today. Tomorrow, I will read the second chapter THE SECRET WEAPON THAT WILL GROW YOUR BUSINESS
