This post is part of the ๐Ÿ“– Never Lose a Customer Again series.

Today, I am reading You Only Have 100 Days (If That Long) to Get It Right chapter from the book Never Lose a Customer Again: Turn Any Sale into Lifelong Loyalty in 100 Days written by Author, Joey Coleman.

TL;DR! ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Across all industries, somewhere between 20%-70% of newly acquired customers will stop doing business with a company with the first 100 days of being a new customer because they feel neglected in the early stages of customer onboarding.

In Never Lose a Customer Again, Coleman offers a philosophy and methodology for dramatically increasing customer retention and as a result, the bottom line. He identifies eight distinct emotional phases customers go through in the 100 days following a purchase

Yesterday, I finished reading What Is Customer Experience? section from the book Never Lose a Customer Again

CHAPTER 6

You Only Have 100 Days (If That Long) to Get It Right

A sale is not a โ€˜finishedโ€™ sale until the customer receives a result.โ€

I like to emphasize the First 100 Days after the sale as a critical window for securing customer loyaltyโ€”not because it is an exact time limit, but because it is easy to remember, short enough to maintain focus, and long enough to deliver value.

Hundred-day time period allows you to form a relationship, impress the customer several times, and deliver consistently, so they trust and like you.

If you get these First 100 Days of the relationship right, you can keep a customer for life.

THE JOURNEY OF 100 DAYS CONSISTS OF EIGHT PHASES

All customers have the potential to transition through a series of eight phases over approximately one hundred days.

Tomorrow, we will read the next chapter The Eight Phases of the Customer Experience
