Fear Is Salt in the Recipe
We have to communicate something from the failure category, but too many warnings about imminent doom will turn customers off.
Messages containing moderate amounts of fear-rousing content are most effective in producing attitudinal and/or behaviour change.
WHAT ARE YOU HELPING YOUR CUSTOMER AVOID?
What negative consequences are you helping customers avoid? Could customers lose money?
First, though, let’s warn customers about the consequences of not doing business with you.
CLARIFY YOUR MESSAGE SO CUSTOMERS LISTEN
Action item:
Brainstorm the negative consequences you are helping your customers avoid. β’βWrite down at least three of those consequences on your StoryBrand BrandScript.
